Capital

The other side of the same question.

Raising debt comes down to one question: can this business cover the repayments from cash it can evidence. We answer that before a funder asks it, then take the case to the funders most likely to say yes.

Two people signing an agreement across a table

We build the case funders say yes to.

Readiness

Funding readiness review

What a business can carry, established from its own numbers rather than its forecast. We work through the debtors book, the creditors position, existing facilities, security already pledged and the covenants already in force. Where something needs to change before a funder will move, we set out exactly what, and how long it takes.

Structure

Capital structuring

The shape of the facility before the search for it. Amount, tenor, ranking, security, amortisation and the headroom to absorb a bad quarter. We build for a facility that still works in a downturn, because that is the one worth signing.

Approach

Funder approach and negotiation

We prepare the information pack, take it to the funders whose mandate matches the structure, and run the process to term sheet. Questions are answered from the same set of numbers throughout, so nothing changes between the first meeting and credit committee.

Manage

Drawdown and covenant management

Conditions precedent, drawdown mechanics and the reporting the facility requires from the month it is signed. We test the covenants ourselves before the funder does, so you are always ahead of the conversation.

Regulatory status

Where a facility is provided it comes from a registered credit provider. We work with WN Capital (Pty) Ltd, registered with the National Credit Regulator under NCRP 12834. Blackrice Consulting structures and arranges: we hold no trust account and we lend none of our own capital. Litigation goes to regulated attorney firms on the client panel.

If you are thinking about raising, the first conversation is short: what the business earns, what it owes, and what a funder will lend against that.
